During my summer as a Graphic Design Intern at Flynn Wright, I had the opportunity to work across a variety of projects for both clients and the agency itself. From social media graphics and digital ads to event materials and campaign concepts, I gained experience adapting my design approach to different brands, audiences, and formats. Below is a selection of the work I created during my time at Flynn Wright.
Catch Des Moines Mock Campaign
I worked with other media and copywriting interns to create an all-inclusive mock campaign for Catch Des Moines. We were given a creative brief and tasked with creating a campaign that would draw people in from within a 200-mile radius. We developed the versatile campaign phrase “Do Something More,” which was simplified to DSM and used interchangeable M endings to represent the different feelings and experiences Des Moines has to offer.
The project had a quick two-week turnaround, with about one week dedicated to group ideation and one week where I handled the design work and presentation graphics. We chose to produce a set of billboards, Meta posts, and flagpole banners to show the versatility of the campaign and how it could translate across multiple platforms.

Walktober Poster

I created a Walktober poster for an internal company walking challenge. I illustrated the legs and shoes to create a sense of movement, adding the Flynn Wright logo to the backs of the shoes. I also used the company’s existing brand pattern in the background to keep the poster consistent with the brand while creating an eye-catching design.
Family Cookout
I created a set of assets for the Flynn Wright family cookout, including a poster, sandwich board, menus, and drink tickets. I used a fun and unique summer-inspired design to build excitement and create a welcoming feel for the event.

Client Loyalty Project
I worked with the other media interns to develop an email encouraging employees to interact with client posts and events and build stronger client loyalty. I designed the proposed engagement materials, including a bingo board, punch card, and client spotlight, to give employees fun incentives to interact with client content.
